Import of Agricultural Products into the EU

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá importem zemědělských produktů na území Evropské unie. Snaží se popsat přístup Evropské Unie k dovozu těchto produktů. Popisuje také, jak do této oblasti vstupuje Světová obchodní organizace a její snahy import do EU ovlivňovat. Zvolený problém, v tomto případě míru liberalizace Evropské unie a Světové obchodní organizace, jsem se snažila vyřešit pomocí vyhledávání v relevantní judikatuře. Hlavními prameny se staly právní předpisy, zakládající smlouvy, mezinárodní smlouvy a dohody, zřizované za účelem úpravy dotčené oblasti. EU uzavírá velké množství dohod s jinými státy a jejich seskupeními, které nějakým způsobem ovlivňují agrární oblast a v práci je jmenována a rozebrána část z nich. Především jde o úpravu vztahů s rozvíjejícími se státy, do které zasahuje ve značné míře i Světová obchodní organizace.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the import of agricultural goods into the EU territory. In this thesis, I try to describe the EU’s attitude towards the import of these goods. I also try to describe, how the World Trade Organization enters this issue and its effort to affect the import into the EU. I tried to solve the chosen problem, in this case the degree of liberalization of the European Union and the World Trade Organization, by searching information in some appropriate sources of law. My primary sources were the acts, founding treaties, international treaties and agreements, that have been written so that they modify the issue. The EU enters many agreements with individual states or groups of states, that affect the agrarian region, and part of them is identified and discussed in this thesis. It deals primarily with the regulations of relations with developing countries, that the World Trade Organization intervene in.
