Treatment of cervicogenic headache.

Abstract:

During my practical training I've met numerous patient whom complained about their headache associated with neck pain. There could be many causes leading to cervicogenic headache, usually they are closely related to each other. In this paper ill analise which changes will lead to cervicogenic headache. As Sharmann found out, one of the main causes could be the long standing wrong body posture that may lead to pain. In this paper I will analise the factors that contribute to cervicogenic headache and the most efficient treatment nowadays.

Abstract:

Durante i tirocini effettuati ho frequentemente incontrato individui che venivano indirizzati verso il trattamento fisioterapico per "dolore alla testa" come sintomo principale e/o associato a dolore al collo. Gli eventi che possono essere indicati come causa della cefalea cervicogenica sono molti e spesso in rapporto di interdipendenza. Revisionando la letteratura pi? recente cercheremo di individuare quali modificazioni avvengono a livello della cervicale, in particolar modo nella porzione superiore, nei soggetti che presentano un mal di testa che dal punto di vista diagnostico ? stato classificato come cervicogenico. La ricerca delle strutture che possono essere coinvolte nel determinare questa sintomatologia sar? anch'essa oggetto della nostra indagine bibliografica.
