Bone Densitometry - New Trends in Diagnosis of Osteoporosis

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo informovat o denzitometrických vyšetřeních zejména o strukturální analýze kyčle HSA (Hip Structual Analysis) a metodě FRAX . V současnosti je nejrozšířenější metodou diagnostiky osteoporózy DXA (Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) .Měří se proximální část stehenní kosti, lumbální páteř, distální předloktí nebo celé tělo. Přístroj detekuje množství minerálů v kosti ve formě hodnoty BMC ( Bone Mineral Content ) a BMD ( Bone Mineral Density), porovnává naměřené hodnoty denzity s průměrnými hodnotami zdravé populace a statisticky vyhodnocuje hodnoty T a Z skóre. Kostní denzitu dokáže měřit i opakovaně s přesností menší nebo rovné 1%. Program HSA (Hip Struntual Analysis ) je aplikací této metody, která umožňuje stanovit biomechanické parametry vyšetřovaného kyčelního kloubu, které jsou důležité pro odhad rizika zlomeniny. Metodu HSA jsme využili při přehodnocení již archivovaných skenů DXA z roku 2010 u žen ve věku od 55 - 65 let s diagnózou osteoporózy, osteopenie a s normálními hodnotami BMD

Abstract:

The aim of this dissertation was to inform about Hip Structual Analysis and the method of FRAX. Nowadays, the most commonly used method is two-photon method. It measures the part of femoral neck, lumbar spine, wrist or the whole body. The measuring instrument detects the minerals? amount in the bone in form - BMC (Bone Mineral Content) and BMD (Bone Mineral Density). It compares measured density values with average values of healthy population and it statistically evaluates T and Z score. This instrument is able to measure the bone density repeatedly with precision lower or equal 1%. The HSA (Hip Structual Analysis) is an aplication of the method which enables to define the biomechanical characteristics of the examinated hip and helps to estimate the fracture risk. The HSA method was applied when re-evaluating the DXA skens which had been archived in the year 2010, namely by women at the age of 55 to 65 years, with the diagnosis of osteoporosis, osteopenie and with normal values.
