The regional fairy tales and legends of Usti

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce Ústecké pohádky a pověsti se zabývá vztahem pohádek a pověstí k určitým místům a jejich významem, konkrétně se zaměřuji na pohádky a pověsti spojené s Ústeckým krajem. Pokouším se o hlubší pochopení historických souvislostí a hledání vlastní regionální identity. Pohádky jsem si též vybrala z toho důvodu, že vztah se nejlépe buduje už od dětství a pohádky jsou tou nejlepší formou. Cílem mé bakalářské práce je zmapovat Ústecké pohádky a pověsti, vytyčit nejčastěji vyskytující se motivy a mytické bytosti, a vymezit jejich případný vliv do současnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis Fairy tales and legends of Ústí nad Labem deals with the relationship of fairy tales and legends to certain places and their significance, especifically I focus on fairy tales and legends associated with the Ústí nad Labem region. I try to gain a deeper understanding of the historical context and the searching for one's own regional identity. I also chose fairy tales because the relationships is best built since childhood. And fairy tales are the best form for this. The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to map fairy tales and legends of region Ústí nad Labem, to outline the most common motifs and mythical creatures, and to define their possible influence to the present times.
