Abstract:
Luxusné knižné väzby sú častokrát ukážkami zručnosti Karolínskych majstrov. Cieľom diplomovej práce je poskytnúť súhrnné informácie na túto tému a zároveň skúmať jednu z nevyriešených otázok, a to ich funkciu. Na základe dobových prameňov skúma symbolický význam liturgických kníh v Karolínskej dobe, ktorý je priamo prepojený s funkciou knižných väzieb.
Abstract:
Treasure bindings are often examples of masterpieces of Carolingian craftsmanship. The aim of this thesis is to provide complex information on this subject, while also examining one of the unresolved questions, namely their function.
