Při investování volných finančních prostředků na komoditních trzích lze aplikovat technickou nebo fundamentální analýzu. Investor tak činí především z důvodu, aby maximalizoval zisk, respektive minimalizoval případný neúspěch. Technickou analýzu lze provádět mnoha metodami.
