Abstract:

The diploma thesis Subjective and objective refraction methods comparison includes theoretical part which describes the Visual pathway and measuring visual acuity. It also describes the refractive error of the eye, such as myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism. The method described objective measurements of visual acuity such as auto- refractometer. The work is mostly focused on the subjective refraction in order to showthat subjective refractionis most reliable method of measuring visual acuity and more comfortable for clients. The last part of my work presents statistical analyses about my research (made in IBM SPSS Statistics software program) that I have conducted on hundreds of clients in Opticalshop Optotip in Sisak Croatia.
