Problematics of online marketplaces on Darknets

Abstract:

V práci se autor věnuje kyberprostoru a pojednává o jeho třech úrovních – Surface Web, Deep Web a Dark Web. Dále jsou prezentovány nástroje, které lze využít pro přístup na Darknets a nástroj pro zabezpečení komunikace – PGP (Pretty Good Privacy). Druhá část práce pojednává o tržištích na Darknets, přičemž u konkrétních tržišť jsou uvedeny příčiny jejich vzniku a autor také uvádí způsob fungování tržišť. Pozornost je také věnována příčinám uzavírání těchto tržišť – jak ze strany státu a dalších mezinárodních organizací, tak i ukončení provozu těchto tržišť dalšími způsoby. Práce se věnuje také principu nakupování na tržištích na Darknets. V praktické části autor za využití metody analýzy zkoumá chování uživatelů Darknetu, přičemž zjistil účely používání, stránky, na které uživatelé přistupují, zabezpečení uživatelů, důraz uživatelů na reference a další věci. Dále autor v praktické části analyzuje a mapuje dostupná Darknet tržiště v síti Tor. O tržištích autor také zjišťuje informace, mezi které patří počet prodávaných položek, přijímané kryptoměny či zakázané kategorie prodeje.

Abstract:

In the thesis the author focuses on cyberspace and discusses its three levels – Surface Web, Deep Web and Dark Web. Furthermore, tools that can be used to access Darknets and the tools for securing communication – PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) are presented. The second part of the thesis deals with the marketplaces on Darknets, while the causes of their origin are given for specific marketplaces. The author also states the way markets work. Attention is also paid to the reasons for the closure of these markets - both by the state and other international organizations, as well as the closure of these markets in other ways. The work also examines the principles of shopping in the Darknets marketplaces. In the practical part, using the method of analysis, the author examines the behaviour of Darknet users, finding out the purposes of use, the sites accessed by users, the security of users, the users' emphasis on references and other related matters. Furthermore, in the practical part, the author analyzes and maps the available Darknet marketplaces in the Tor network. The author also surveys information about the marketplaces, including the number of items sold, accepted cryptocurrencies, and prohibited sales categories.
