Successful Automation Team: Realizing an Effective Organizational Structure Outside of Conventions

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá optimální organizační strukturu automatizačního týmu v XpertDigital CEE a zkoumá klíčové faktory, které určují jeho efektivitu. Úvodem se bude práce věnovat přehledu literatury týkající se organizačních struktur, a to zejména jejich klíčových vlastností a jejich potenciálního vlivu na efektivitu a produktivitu automatizačních týmů. Poté práce zkoumá nejčastější typy organizačních struktur, které jsou kompatibilní s povahou práce automatizačních týmů, kde nebude chybět definice konvenční organizační struktury, a faktory, které je třeba vzít v úvahu při navrhování efektivní organizační struktury pro podniku zaměřené na automatizační služby. Výsledkem teoretické části práce bude stanovení výzkumné otázky, z jakých důvodů je či není konvenční organizační struktura vhodná k zajištění efektivního automatizačního týmu, jejíž odpověď bude autor práce hledat v praktické části práce. Praktická část práce bude ověřovat poznatky z literární rešerše prostřednictvím hloubkových polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se členy automatizačního týmu XpertDigital CEE a pracovníky z trhu s automatizačními službami. Výsledky primárního výzkumu budou poté porovnány se zjištěními sekundárního výzkumu. Navíc, kromě zodpovězení výzkumné otázky, bude závěrem práce poskytnuta na důkazech podložená analýza vhodné organizační struktury pro sledovaný podnik XpertDigital CEE.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis investigates the optimal organizational structure of the automation team in XpertDigital CEE and examines the key factors that determine its effectiveness. At the beginning, the work will be devoted to an overview of the literature related to organizational structures, especially their key features and their potential influence on the efficiency and productivity of automation teams. Then, the thesis examines the most common types of organizational structures that are compatible with the nature of the work of automation teams, where the definition of a conventional organizational structure will not be missing, and the factors that need to be taken into account when designing an effective organizational structure for an automation services business. The result of the theoretical part of the work will be the determination of the research question, for what reasons the conventional organizational structure is or is not suitable for ensuring an effective automation team, the author of the work will seek an answer in the practical part of the work. The practical part of the work will verify the findings from the literature search through in-depth semi-structured interviews with members of the XpertDigital CEE automation team and workers from the automation services market. The results of the primary research will then be compared with the findings of the secondary research. Finally, in addition to answering the research question, the conclusion of the thesis will provide an evidence-based analysis of the appropriate organizational structure for the XpertDigital CEE business.
