The Project of Racionalisation of Finished Goods Warehouse in a Selected Manufacturing Company

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je projekt racionalizace skladu hotových výrobků ve vybraném výrobním podniku, s cílem vypracovat návrh možného zefektivnění logistických operací a nákupu vhodného vybavení. Pro řešení projektu byla v první části provedena analýza současného stavu skladu hotových výrobků, u které byly pomocí SWOT analýzy, snímku pracovního dne, auditu pracoviště, ABC a XYZ analýzy zjištěny hlavní nedostatky tohoto pracoviště, jejichž eliminace byla hlavním kritériem při zpracování projektu. V projektové části byly stanoveny a porovnány návrhy nového skladu s ohledem na vymezená hodnotící kritéria, na základě kterých byla vybrána nejvhodnější varianta pro případnou implementaci v podniku. Jako hlavní přínosy výsledné varianty nového skladu byly prezentovány eliminace mzdových nákladů, zvýšení kapacity skladových prostor a zlepšení celkové evidence skladových zásob a činností. Zpracování této diplomové práce a její výsledky mohou podniku sloužit jako reálný popis současného stavu a vymezení možných řešení do budoucna.

Abstract:

The subject of the Master's thesis is a project of rationalization of finished products warehouse in a selected manufacturing company, with the aim of developing a proposal for possible streamlining of logistics operations and purchase of suitable equipment. To address the project, the first part of the project involved an analysis of the current state of the finished goods warehouse, for which the main shortcomings of the warehouse were identified by means of a SWOT analysis, a snapshot of the working day, an audit of the workplace, ABC and XYZ analysis, the elimination of which was the main criterion in the development of the project. In the next part of the project, the designs of the new warehouse were determined and compared with respect to the defined evaluation criteria, according to which the most suitable option was selected for possible implementation in the company. The main benefits of the resulting new warehouse option were presented as elimination of labour costs, increase in warehouse capacity and improvement of the overall inventory and activity records. The elaboration of this thesis and its results can serve the company as a realistic description of the current situation and the definition of possible solutions for the future.
