Programs to support the integration of foreigners

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce specifikuje proces integrace a adaptace cizinců v českém prostředí. Cílem výzkumu je zhodnotit možnosti podpory pro integraci vedoucí k požadované adaptaci. Práce charakterizuje činnosti Center na podporu integrace cizinců (CPIC) v České republice. Celkový výzkum využívá kvalitativní strategie, která je směřována na poskytované služby vybraných center. Provedený výzkum nám umožňuje přiblížit charakteristiku souboru činností určených k podpoře integrace a adaptace občanů z cizích zemí. Dnešní politická situace v Evropě zapříčinila vysokou míru migrace obyvatel, především z Afriky a Asie do Evropy, a rovněž občanů Ukrajiny prchajících před válkou do bezpečí. Tito lidé se potřebují do nového prostředí adaptovat, k čemuž právě napomáhají služby center. Informace k těmto službám jsou v rámci teoretické části získány pomocí odborné literatury a jiných zdrojů. V praktické části je pak sběr dat realizován prostřednictvím rozhovorů ve vybraných centrech, které jsou následně analyzovány.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis specifies the process of integration and adaptation of foreigners in the Czech environment. The scope of the research is to evaluate the possibilities for a support in term of integration that leads to the required adaptation. The diploma defines the activities of the Center to Support the Integration of Foreigners (CPIC) in the Czech Republic. The overall research uses a qualitative strategy, which is directed at the services provided by the selected centers. The conducted research allows us to describe the characteristics of activities which have been designated to support the integration and adaptation of citizens of foreign countries. Today's political situation in Europe has caused a high level of migration flow, mainly coming from Africa and Asia to Europe, as well as citizens of Ukraine fleeing the war for safety reasons. These people need to adapt to a new environment and being helped by the services of the Center. In the theoretical part, the information related the provide services have been obtained from a specialized literature and other sources. In the practical part, the data collection has been carried out through interviews in the selected centers and analyzed later.
