Electronic Revenue Registry in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou elektronické evidence tržeb v České republice. Cílem práce bylo zhodnotit efektivnost a výnosnost tohoto nástroje. K vyhodnocení byla využita analýza daňových příjmů, která byla blíže zaměřená na subjekty z odvětví ubytování, stravování a pohostinství, u nichž byl blíže zkoumán vývoj vykazovaných tržeb a podnikatelského prostředí. Výsledky ukazují, že po zavedení elektronické evidence tržeb dochází ke zvýšení inkasa daňových příjmů. V letech 2016–2019 je u těchto odvětví pozorován nárůst plátců DPH o 52 %, což lze přičítat existenci elektronické evidence tržeb. Následně bylo provedeno zhodnocení s vybranými státy Evropské unie. Na základě poznatků získaných analýzou dat bylo navrženo doporučení, díky němuž by mohlo dojít k vyššímu inkasu daňových příjmů a systém by tak dosahoval vyšší efektivity než doposud.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals issues of electronic revenue registry in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis was to valorise productivity and effectiveness of this device. An analysis of tax revenues was used to the evaluation, which was more focused on entities from the accommodation, catering, and hospitality sectors, for which the development of reported sales and business environment was examined in more detail. The results show that after the introduction of electronic records of sales, there is an increase in the collection of tax revenues. In 2016–2019, an increase in VAT payers of 52% is observed in these sectors, which can be attributed to the existence of electronic sales records. Subsequently an evaluation was carried out with selected countries of the European Union. Based on the findings of the data analysis, a recommendation was proposed, thanks to which it should be possible to achieve higher collection of tax revenues and the system would thus achieve higher efficiency than before.
