Personnel activities in the company and motivation of employees

Abstract:

V této práci se zabývám rozborem personálních činností v podniku a motivací zaměstnanců s cílem zmapovat provádění personálních činností v malé firmě a zjistit úroveň motivace a spokojenosti jejích zaměstnanců. Výstupy z analýzy by měly pomoci podniku k přijetí takových opatření, které by napomohly k lepšímu fungování podniku. V první části jsou nejprve popsána teoretická východiska potřebná k pochopení problematiky. Zabývám se některými vybranými personálními činnostmi jako plánováním zaměstnanců, analýzou pracovních míst, získáváním a výběrem pracovníků, adaptací, odměňováním a propouštěním. Jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy vztahující se k motivaci zaměstnanců včetně některých vybraných teorií motivace a prostředků k ovlivňování motivace k práci. V praktické části aplikuji získané poznatky na popis a analýzu vykonávaných personálních činností v konkrétním podniku. Pro zjištění motivace zaměstnanců bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření. Výsledky z tohoto výzkumu odhalily některé problémové oblasti, na které by bylo třeba se zaměřit a vylepšit stávající procesy.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on analysis of personnel activities of the organization and motivation of employees to explore the implementation of the HR functions in a small company and determine the level of motivation and satisfaction of its employees. Output from the analysis should help the company to take such measures that could help to improve the functioning of the enterprise. In the first part is initially described the theoretical basis necessary for understanding the topic. I deal with some chosen personnel activities such as staff planning, jobs analysis, staff attracting and selecting, adaptation, remuneration and redundancies. The basic concepts related to motivation of employees are explained there, including some selected theories of motivation and the means of influence of motivation to work. In the practical part I apply the gained knowledge to a description and analysis of personnel activities exercised in a particular company. To determine the motivation of employees was carried out by a questionnaire. Results from this research have revealed some problem areas, which would be needfull to focus on and improve existing processes.
