Abstrakt diplomové práce, podané 2. května 2017: Přímé zahraniční investice jako nástroj pro penetraci zahraničního trhu Tato práce se zaměřuje na studium přímých zahraničních investic jako nástroj pro proniknutí zahraničního trhu. Studie je zaměřena na rozhodnutí nadnárodních podniků o přímých zahraničních investicích (PNE) na rozvíjejících se a rozvíjejících se trzích a na faktorech, které ji ovlivňují, konkrétně proč by se společnost rozhodla proniknout na zahraniční trh, spíše než další možnosti rozšíření výroby A kapitálové investice. Teoretická část práce empiricky zkoumá koncept přímých zahraničních investic, jejich role a hlavní charakteristiky, jakož i metody a právní aspekty procesu PZI. Praktická část je věnována rozsáhlé analýze (finanční a nefinanční) výkonnosti vybraného MNE (PepsiCo) s ohledem na jeho nedávné přímé zahraniční investice do rozvíjejícího se trhu (akvizice ruského Wimm - Bill - Dann). Závěrem práce tvrdí, že bez ohledu na socioekonomické specifika rozvíjejícího se trhu; Je nadále prospěšné, aby nadnárodní společnost přistoupila k přímým zahraničním investicím.

Abstract of Master’s Thesis, Submitted 02 May 2017: Foreign Direct Investment as a Tool for Foreign Market Penetration This thesis focuses on the study of foreign direct investment as a tool for foreign market penetration. The study is aimed at the foreign direct investments (FDI) decisions of multinational enterprises (MNEs) in the emerging and developing markets and factors affecting it, specifically why a company would choose to penetrate a foreign market, rather than other options of expansion of production and capital investment. Theoretical part of the thesis empirically examines the concept of the foreign direct investment, its role and main characteristics, as well as identifies methods and legal aspects of the FDI process. The practical part is devoted to the extensive analysis (financial and non – financial) of the performance of the selected MNE (PepsiCo) with regards to its recent foreign direct investment into the emerging market (acquisition of Russian Wimm – Bill – Dann). In conclusion, the thesis argues that irrespective of the socio – economic specifics of the emerging market; it is still beneficial for the multinational company to proceed with foreign direct investment.
