Idiomy a frazémy v Monster High

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of translating idiomatic expressions. The aim of this thesis is to analyze selected idiomatic expressions that appeared in the movies of the Monster High franchise. The analysis is concerned with the characterization and comparison of the original idiomatic expressions and their counterparts in the Czech dubbed versions of the movies. Thus, the analysis provides an insight into the nature of the original idiomatic expressions, translation strategies used by the author(s) of the Czech translation and stylistic effect of the translation.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou překladu idiomatických slovních spojení. Cílem diplomové práce je analýza vybraných idiomatických slovních spojení, která se objevila ve filmech z franšízy Monster High. Analýza se zaměřuje na rozbor a porovnání idiomatických slovních spojení v originále s jejich českými překladovými protějšky, čímž poskytuje vhled do podstaty původních idiomatických slovních spojení, překladových strategií autora(ů) českého překladu a stylistické působnosti překladu.
