Intergenerational Transfer of Family Lifestyle or When a Daughter Become a Mother.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Mezigenerační přenos stylu rodinného života aneb Z dcery matkou pojednává o rodinném životě, hodnotách rodiny a přenosu těchto hodnot z rodiny matky do rodiny dcery. Práce se ve své teoretické části zabývá tím, jaké je místo ženy v rodině, jak jsou vychovávány dívky a jakým stylem funguje vztah matka – dcera. Zároveň je v práci zmíněna nepostradatelná role otce, který poskytuje dceři prvotní mužský vzor. Na teoretickou část navazuje část výzkumná. Na základě rozhovorů s devíti matkami je zde proveden kvalitativní výzkum, který prokazuje silné spojení rodiny původní a rodiny orientační. Podobnost obou rodin je způsobena mezigeneračním předáváním hodnot v linii matka – dcera. Dcery přebírají ze svých původních rodin podobný styl života, který si s sebou přenášejí do rodiny ve které vychovávají vlastní děti. Tyto ženy ovšem dovedou i kriticky hodnotit nedostatky původní rodiny a snaží se jich vyvarovat.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „ Intergenerational Transfer of Family Lifestyle or When a Daughter Becomes a Mother “ deals with the family life, family values and the transfer of this values from the mother’s family to the family of her daughter. The thesis in its first – theoretical part occupies by the fact of the woman position in the family, education of girls and the style of the relationship mother – daughter. Herewith the thesis deals with the essential role of the father who gives his daughter the first man model. The research part connects the theoretical part. On the base of nine interviews with mothers is the qualitative research implemented. This research demonstrates the strong connection of the original family with the incoming family. The similarity of the both families is caused by intergenerational transfer of the values in the line mother – daughter. Daughters assume from their original families the alike style of life which they take to their own families where they grow their children. These women are indeed able to judge the deficiencies of their original families in the critical way and they try to avoid them.
