Use of selected groups of garden irises in the selected urban area

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou využití rodu Iris v urbánním prostoru. v literární části jsou zmíněné vědecké podklady pro danou problematiku zeleně ve městech a přiblížení rodu Iris z pohledu zahradnické klasifikace. Na tyto poznatky navazuje část praktická, jejíž cílem bylo sledování a porovnávání vybrané výsadby v městě Ostrava a Hlučín. Celkem bylo vybráno 6 stanovišť, kde byly sázené zvolené skupiny zahradních kosatců, konkrétně šlo o skupinu bradatých kosatců – IB a skupiny bezvousých kosatců – SPEC, SPEC-X, JI a SIB. Výsadby byly zakládány postupně od září 2017 roku do září 2020 roku. v praktické části bylo provedeno půdní šetření na modelových stanovištích, a také porovnání jarního vývoje kosatců na vybraných územích. Rovněž proběhlo porovnání hydrometeorologických údajů z nejbližší hydrometeorologické stanice ČHMU Ostrava-Poruba od začátku každé výsadby. Výsledky závěrečné práce nám ukazují, že pozorované skupiny kosatců svými podmínkami jsou vhodné pro výsadbu ve městech. Poslední část je zaměřená na aplikaci teorie do praxe.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of the genus Iris in urban space. The first part mentions the theoretical basis for the problems of greenery in cities and the approach of the genus Iris from the perspective of horticultural classification. These findings were followed by a practical part, where the aim was to monitor and compare selected plantings in the cities of Ostrava and Hlučín. a total of 6 habitats were elected, where selected groups of garden irises have been planting, namely a group of bearded irises – IB and groups of beardless irises – SPEC, SPEC-X, JI and SIB. Plantings have been established gradually from September 2017 to September 2020. In the practical part, a soil survey was performed on model sites, a comparison of hydrometeorological data from the nearest hydrometeorological station CHMU Ostrava-Poruba from the beginning of each planting and a comparison of spring development of irises in selected sites. The results of the bachelor thesis show us that the observed groups of irises, due to their conditions, are suitable for planting in the cities. The last part is based on the transfer of theoretical findings into practice.
