Numerical solution of special systems of linear equations

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci se věnujeme nejprve metodám numerického řešení parciálních diferenciálních rovnic pomocí některých metod, které vedou na soustavy se speciální maticí jako například pásové matice, řídké matice, pozitivně definitní matice apod. Rozlišujeme rovnice eliptického, parabolického a hyperbolického typu a metody volíme podle jejich typu. V další části popisujeme matice, jejich souvislost s grafy, s orientovanými i neorientovanými, a některé jejich vlastnosti. Věnujeme se maticím pásovým, speciální případ jsou matice třídiagonální, a maticím řídkým s velkým procentem nulových prvků. V poslední kapitole se zmiňujeme o metodách řešení. Přímé i iterační metody vyjadřujeme převážně v maticovém tvaru. U přímých metod uvedeme i metodu pro výpočet pseudoinverzní matice k matici typu (m,n), kde m je různo od n. U iteračních metod sestrojíme iterační posloupnosti a uvedeme podmínky konvergence těchto metod. Metody řešení soustav lineárních rovnic se snažíme zobecnit i na blokové matice.

Abstract:

In this diploma thesis we focuse first on methods with numerical solution of partial differential equations by using some methods that lead to systems with a special matrix such as strip matrices, sparse matrices, positive definite matrix equations, etc. We distinguish between elliptic, parabolic and hyperbolic type and the method is chosen according to their types. In the next section we describe the matrix, their connection with undirected and oriented graphs and some of their properties. We are dedicated to strip matrix and their special case of tree-diagonal matrix. Also sparse matrix with a large percentage of zero elements are mentioned. In the last chapter we refer to the methods of solution. Direct and iterative methods mainly express in matrix form. For direct methods, we show also the method for calculating the pseudoinverse matrix to a matrix of type (m,n) where m is different from n. For iterative methods, we construct an iterative sequence and indicate the conditions of convergence of these methods, moreover, we try to generalize methods of solving systems of linear equations of the block matrix.
