Towards a Secure Payment System for Large Infrastructures

Abstract:

Ústředním předmětem zájmu práce jsou platební schémata - komunikační protokoly užívané zákazníky a prodejci (či přesněji - jejich počítači a jinými zastupujícími zařízeními) při uskutečňování elektronického obchodu. Současná platební schémata užívaná v praxi jsou všechna útlá v množině schopností nebo mají uzavřenou specifikaci. Y Soft Corporation, průmyslový partner Fakulty informatiky Masarykovy univerzity, představil projekt, jehož cílem je navrhnout platební schéma, které bude jak bohaté na různorodé vlastnosti a otevřené, tak bezpečné a konfigurovatelné. Předložená práce následuje proces vývoje tohoto schématu do jara 2010. Jsou stanoveny obecné předpoklady a omezení doplněné analýzou relevantních partií českého právního řádu. Další kapitoly jsou věnovány převážně historii a současným stavem schématu, které není dokončenou prací, ale dosáhlo fáze, která vypovídá o jistém objemu původního výzkumu.

Abstract:

The central subject of interest in the thesis are payment schemes - communication protocols used by customers and vendors (or, more precisely, their PCs or other impersonating devices) to carry out electronic trade. Current payment schemes used in practice are all either lacking in terms of features or have a closed specification. Y Soft Corporation, an industry partner of the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, introduced a project whose aim is to design a payment scheme which is both featureful and open, as well as secure and configurable. The thesis follows the process of development of that scheme until Spring 2010. General restrictions and assumptions about the surrounding system are given, accompanied by analysis of the relevant parts of the Czech law. Other chapters are devoted mostly to the history and current state of the scheme, which is not finished, but has reached a phase which speaks of a certain amount of original research having taken place.
