The importance of lookout towers for tourism development in Central Bohemia Region

Abstract:

Stěžejním tématem bakalářské práce jsou rozhledny a jejich využití v oblasti cestovního ruchu. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř hlavních částí, které na sebe obsahově navazují. Úvodní kapitola se věnuje obecnému vymezení oboru cestovní ruch a současným trendům cestování v České republice. Následuje kapitola zaměřující se na vybraný region Středočeského kraje z hlediska jeho postavení a odlišností v oblasti cestovního ruchu. Třetí část je věnována historickému vývoji, stavbě rozhleden a dále popisu nejznámějších rozhleden ve Středočeském kraji. V praktické části bakalářské práce byla zkoumána atraktivita 23 vybraných rozhleden a jejich potenciál pro rozvoj a růst cestovního ruchu. Analýza vyhodnocuje jednotlivé rozhledny z hlediska technických parametrů stavby, kvality poskytovaných služeb v objektu rozhledny, z hlediska informačního systému a propagace. K dokreslení současné situace rozhleden v České republice je připojen názor odborníka ve sféře rozhleden Jana Nouzy (spoluautor slavného dokumentu "Člověče, rozhlédni se"), který se formou dotazníku vyjádřil ke konkrétním nedostatkům a významu rozhleden v České republice.

Abstract:

The central theme of the thesis are look-out towers and their use in tourism. The thesis is divided into four main sections that follow the content itself. The opening chapter deals with the general definition of tourism industry and current trends of traveling in the Czech Republic. The following chapter is focused on a selected region of the Central Bohemia in terms of status and differences in the travel industry. The third part focuses on the historical development, construction of look-out towers and a description of the most famous towers in the Central Bohemia. The attractiveness of 23 selected observation towers and their potential for development and growth of tourism was examined in the practical part of the thesis. The analysis evaluates the observation towers in light of technical parameters, construction, quality of service in the area, information system and promotion. To illustrate the current situation of lookouts in the Czech Republic was connected the opinion of expert for towers Jan Nouza (co-authored a famous paper, "Man, look around"), which is expressed by means of a questionnaire to the specific deficiencies and the importance of towers in the Czech Republic.
