Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá návratem dospělých lidí do magisterského prezenčního studia po přerušení vzdělávací dráhy mezi bakalářským a magisterským stupněm vzdělání. Cílem této práce je popsat jev návratu dospělých lidí do formálního vzdělávání, zjistit motivaci k opuštění studia a k následnému návratu do studia. Stěžejním cílem práce je zjistit jak se změnil přístup studentů ke studiu po přerušení. Diplomová práce je standardně rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a empirické. Teoretická část popisuje koncept celoživotního učení a poskytuje informace o formálním vzdělávání na terciární úrovni. Dále vymezuje mladou dospělost a s ní spojené charakteristiky. Závěr teoretické části vymezuje vzdělávání dospělých a zásadní pojem netradiční student. Empirická část popisuje metodologii výzkumu a slouží k interpretaci získaných dat kvalitativním šetřením.

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with the return of adults to master's full-time study after interruption of the educational path between bachelor's and master's level of education. The aim of this paper is to describe the phenomenon of the return of adults to formal education, to find motivation to leave the study and to return to study. The main objective of the thesis is to find out how students' attitude to study has changed after interruption. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part describes the concept of lifelong learning and provides information on formal education at tertiary level. It further defines young adulthood and its associated characteristics. The end of the theoretical part defines adult education and the main concept of non-traditional student. The empirical part describes the methodology of the research and serves to interpret the obtained data by a qualitative survey.
