Does (income) inequality lead to a greater violence in society?

Vede (příjmová) nerovnost k většímu násilí ve společnosti?
Abstract:
Práce zkoumá vliv příjmové nerovnosti na násilí ve společnosti za použití dat z EU pro roky 2005 až 2008. Výsledky ukazují pozitivní a signifikantní vliv (v roce 2005) nerovnosti na násilné trestné činy, když zvýšení Giniho indexu o jeden bod znamená zvýšení násilných trestných činů o 6,1%. Abstract:
The article investigates the impact of inequality on violence in society using the data from the EU for the years from 2005 to 2008. The results show a positive and significant impact (in 2005) of inequality on violent crime while increase by one point in the Gini index means an increase in violent crime by 6,1%.
