Teoretická část bakalářské práce obsahuje základní informace o křemíku, oxidu křemičitém jak sráženém oxidu křemičitém tak i pyrogenním oxidu křemičitém a křemičitanech jako slída, flogopit, kaolín. Uvedeny jsou informace o přípravě, využití i farmaceutickém využití. Jsou zde uvedeny základní informace, rozdělení pigmentů, plniv a pojiv, kde je navíc zmíněna i výrobě. The theoretical part contains basic information about silicon, silica as the precipitated silica and fumed silica and silicates such as mica, phlogopite, kaolin. There are information about the preparation, use and pharmaceutical applications.
