Non-native Speaker's Intonation in English, with the Focus on Turkish Speakers.
Abstract:
The work provides an analysis of English intonation with the examples of both native and non-native speakers? production of it. Furthermore, the influence of the mother tongue on the second language learning is observed. The thesis also discusses the concept of Turkish phonology and differences between English and Turkish intonation.
Abstract:
Práce poskytuje analýzu anglické intonace s příklady produkovanými jak rodilým, tak nerodilým mluvčím. Dále je zkoumán vliv mateřského jazyka na příjímání druhého jazyka. Práce také probírá koncept turecké fonologie a rozdíly mezi anglickou a tureckou intonací.
