Soil as an inexhaustible source of moral values František Křelina focusing on the 20th and 30 the 20th century

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá životem a dílem jednoho z našich předních ruralisticky orientovaných autorů, Františka Křeliny. Snaží se o zachycení širších souvislostí celé jeho tvorby, zásadní pozornost ale věnuje období dvacátých a třicátých let. Neopomíjí přitom ani společenské poměry, které na autora působily. Tato práce si neklade za cíl zmapovat do detailu veškeré životní peripetie Františka Křeliny a zhodnotit celé jeho dílo v plném rozsahu. Pokusíme se především v širších souvislostech zachytit a podrobněji se zaměřit na období jeho tvorby časově náležející do dvacátých a třicátých let a zabývat se hlavně otázkou vzájemného vztahu mezi láskou k rodné krajině a mravními ideály v Křelinově tvorbě tohoto období uplatňovanými.Budeme přitom čerpat z Křelinovy básnické a prozaické tvorby tohoto období, ale i ze vzpomínek přátel a rodinných příslušníků. Neopomeneme přitom ani stati, kritiky astudie věnované Křelinovu dílu.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the life and work of one our foremost ruralistically oriented authors, Mr. František Křelina. Although it strives to capture the big picture of his entire work, its main focus is on the 20's and 30's. The thesis does not fail to address the societal circumstances that were affecting the author. We do not aim to map out every detail of František Křelina's life story nor assess the entirety of his work to its full extent. Instead, we shall attempt to capture and emphasize the big picture surrounding his work in the 20's and 30's and to deal with the issue of a mutual relationship between the love for one's home countryside and one's moral ideals as presented in Křelina's work of this period. While doing so, we shall draw not only on Křelina's work of this period in both poetry and prose, but also on the recollections of his friends and family members. At the same time, we shall not omit the essays, critiques, and papers devoted to Křelina's work.
