Use of satellite images for locally targeted agrotechnics and evaluation of benefits

Abstract:

Tato práce se blíže zabývá technologiemi družicového dálkového průzkumu Země, principy měření spektrální odrazivosti vegetace a metodami zpracování digitálních obrazových dat. Hlavním cílem práce bylo vyhodnocení heterogenity pozemků na základě prostorové analýzy plošné variability vegetačních indexů v agrotechnicky významných vegetačních fázích porostu pšenice ozimé, využití těchto výsledků při lokálně cílené aplikaci dusíku na zemědělské půdě a posouzení přínosů v porovnání s uniformním hnojením pěstované plodiny. Samotná práce je členěna do deseti kapitol. Kapitoly 2-3 se zabývají teoretickými východisky. V této teoretické části byla na základě české i zahraniční odborné literatury provedena literární rešerše a došlo k bližšímu seznámení s vybranou problematikou. Kapitoly 4-6 potom představují část praktickou, ve které byl popsán, proveden a zhodnocen konkrétní pokus na dvou pozemcích společnosti Eurofarms Agro-b s.r.o. V teoretické části diplomové práce byly zpracovány poznatky o družicovém a dálkovém průzkumu Země. Dále byly shrnuty informace o principech měření spektrální odrazivosti vegetace a metodami zpracování digitálních obrazových dat. V diplomové práci bylo zpracováno vyhodnocení heterogenity pozemků na základě prostorové analýzy plošné variability vegetačních indexů v agrotechnicky významných vegetačních fázích porostu pšenice ozimé. Byly nalezeny jednotlivé vegetační indexy, které korelují s jednotlivými proměnnými z bodových odběrů. Byla potvrzena možnost využití vegetačního indexu NDVI pro variabilní hnojení u výnosového principu. Při variabilním hnojení s použitím kompenzační metody došlo k výrazné úspoře dusíkatých hnojiv, avšak došlo ke snížení výnosu. Varianta s výnosovým principem u variabilního hnojení ukazuje také na možnost snížení spotřeby dusíkatých hnojiv při použití vegetačního indexu NDVI.

Abstract:

This work deals in more detail with the technologies of satellite remote sensing of the Earth, the principles of measuring the spectral reflectance of vegetation and methods of digital image data processing. The main goal of the work was to evaluate the heterogeneity of land based on spatial analysis of area variability of vegetation indices in agrotechnically significant vegetation phases of winter wheat, use of these results in locally targeted application of nitrogen on agricultural land and assessment of benefits The work itself is divided into ten chapters. Chapters 2-3 deal with the theoretical background. In this theoretical part, a literary search was performed on the basis of Czech and foreign professional literature, and there was a closer acquaintance with selected issues. Chapters 4-6 then present the practical part, in which a specific experiment on two plots of land of Eurofarms Agro-b s.r.o. was described, performed and evaluated. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis, knowledge about satellite and remote sensing of the Earth was processed. The diploma thesis evaluated the heterogeneity of land on the basis of spatial analysis of area variability of vegetation indices in agrotechnically significant vegetation phases of winter wheat. Individual vegetation indices were found, which correlate with individual variables from point samples. The possibility of using the NDVI vegetation index for variable fertilization with the yield principle was confirmed. With variable fertilization using the compensation method, there was a significant saving of nitrogen fertilizers, but there was a reduction in yield. The variant with the yield principle for variable fertilization also points to the possibility of reducing the consumption of nitrogen fertilizers when using the NDVI vegetation index.
