Small sacral monuments in the cadastral area of Velká Bíteš – identification and pre-sentation of historical landscape structures

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na drobnou sakrální architekturu v katastru města Velká Bíteš s cílem identifikovat a detailněji prozkoumat všechny drobné sakrální objekty v dané lokalitě. Následně se věnuje návrhu prostoru v rámci tohoto katastru. Literární přehled přináší definice klíčových pojmů jako jsou kříže, boží muka, kaple, kapličky, zvonice a zvoničky, současně zkoumá jejich ochranu, doprovodnou vegetaci, funkci, umístění v krajině, historii a architekturu. Práce klade důraz na primární, sekundární a terciární struktura krajiny v této oblasti. Výsledkem práce je kompletní identifikace všech drobných sakrálních objektů a navržení prostoru v katastru města Velké Bíteše. Cílem navrhovaného prostoru je propojení tří křížů, které se nacházejí v těsné blízkosti, a vytváření místa vhodného pro setkávání věřících i obyvatel.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the small sacral architekture in the cadastral area of Velká Bíteš with the aim of identifying and exploring in more detail all the small sacral objects in the given locality. Subsequently it addresses the design of space within this cadastral area. The literature review provides definitions of key terms such as crosses, wayside shrines, chapels, bell towers and bell-gables, while also examing their protection, accompanying vegetation, function, location in the landscape, history and architecture. The thesis emphasizes the primary, secondary and tertiary landscape structure in this area. The outcome of the work is a complete identification of all small sacral objects and the proposal of space within the cadastral area of Velká Bíteš. The goal of the proposed space is to connect three crosses located in close proximity, crea-ting a place suitable for the gathering of belivers and residents.
