Neology and Neologisms in Sports Magazines and Newspapers

Abstract:

In this bachelor work, in its theoretical part, we focused on identification general issues of word formation and neologisation processes in the Spanish language. In its practical part we divided neologisms chosen from sport newspapers and magazines according to the types of sports in the alphabetical order. Further on, we made up a glossary which explains the type of sport in which the neologism appears, its importance and the fact whether we can prove its use in Corpus de Referencia del Espa?ol Actual (CREA). We completed the work with examples of neologisms used in current sport articles and a commentary where we explained the procedure of work, neologism processes of some expressions from the glossary and sources we worked with.

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci jsme se v teoretické části zaměřili na seznámení se s obecnými otázkami slovotvorby a neologizačních procesů ve španělštině. V praktické části jsme neologismy vybrané ze sportovních novin a časopisů rozdělili dle typu sportu v abecedním pořadí. Dále jsme sestavili glosář, který vysvětluje druh sportu, ve kterém se neologismus nachází, jeho význam a také to, zda můžeme doložit jeho používání v Corpusu de Referencia del Espa?ol Actual (CREA). Doplnili jsme práci o ukázky neologismů použitých v aktuálních sportovních článcích a nechybí ani komentář, v němž je vysvětlen postup práce, neologizační procesy některých výrazů z glosáře a zdroje se kterými jsme pracovali.
