Epipelic diatom assemblages in wetlands on arable land in southern Moravia

Abstract:

The present study deals with epipelic diatom assemblages in wet-lands on arable land in southern Moravia. Many of them are located in the places of former salt marshes. A total of 16 samples from 16 locations were taken in July 2020. Crops (corn, grain, rapeseed) we-re grown on all locations at the time of sampling, with the exception of one location where the spill had the character of rough plowing. A total of 53 species belonging to 23 genera were identified. Species richness ranged from 4 to 17 species in a sample. The most frequent species were Nitzschia palea, Tryblionella hungarica, Navicula trivia-lis and N. cryptocephala. Facultative periphytic taxa were also frequ-ent, with the most abundant representative being Nitzschia palea. Indicators of higher trophy and saprobity (e.g. Craticula ambigua, C. subminuscula, Halamphora veneta, Navicula antonii and Nitzschia palea) confirm that these are intensively managed biotopes. Halophilic and halobiont taxa such as Fallacia pygmaea, Navicula cincta, N. erifuga, Parlibellus protracta, Surirella ovalis and Tryblio-nella hungarica were present.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje společenstvím epipelických rozsivek na polních mokřadech jižní Moravy, z nichž se mnohé nacházejí v místech bývalých slanišť. Celkem 16 vzorků z 16 lokalit bylo odebráno v červenci 2020. Na všech lokalitách byly v době odběru pěstovány plodiny (kukuřice, obilí, řepka) s výjimkou lokality křižovatka Ladná v Břeclavi, kde měl rozliv charakter hrubé orby. Celkem bylo determinováno 53 druhů patřících do 23 rodů. Druhová bohatost se pohybovala od 4 do 17 druhů ve vzorku. Nejfrekventovanější druhy vyskytující se ve vzorcích byly Nitzschia palea, Tryblionella hungarica, Navicula trivialis a N. cryptocephala. Na většině lokalit dominovaly aktivně se pohybující rozsivky s rafé typické pro epipelon, jejichž nejabundantnějším zástupcem byla Navicula trivialis. Frekventovány byly i fakultativně přisedající taxony s nejabundantnějším zástupcem Nitzschia palea. Indikátory vyšší trofie a saprobity (např. Craticula ambigua, C. subminuscula, Halamphora veneta, Navicula antonii, Nitzschia palea) potvrzují, že se jedná o intenzivně obhospodařovaná stanoviště. Přítomny byly halofilní i halobiontní taxony jako Fallacia pygmaea, Navicula cincta, N. erifuga, Parlibellus protracta, Surirella ovalis a Tryblionella hungarica.
