Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá obdobím ke konci roku 1918. V tomto čase se zaměřuje na nově vzniklé Československo a obzvláště na jeho problematiku s taktéž nově vzniklou provincií Deutschböhmen. Práce se blíže zaměřuje na okresní politiku s upřesněním na politickou reprezentaci provincie v Karlových Varech. Práce má za úkol shrnout poznatky z literatury a archiválií, které se týkají provincie Deutschböhmen a města Karlovy Vary, a vytvořit tak ucelenější obraz o době při rozpadu Rakousko ? Uherska a vzestupu národnostních států s přihlédnutím na severozápadní region Československa. Stranou též nezůstala ani problematika práva na sebeurčení a její kontext v boji o celistvost Československa. Cílem práce je tedy podrobněji se zabývat událostmi, které vedly k utvoření této provincie. Dále se zabývat jejím působením a v neposlední řadě také jejím zánikem. Ohledně okresní politiky v Karlových Varech má práce za cíl zaměřit se na působení její vlády v daném regionu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the period at the end of 1918. This period focuses on the new Czechoslovakia, especially to its problems with as well as newly created provinces Deutschböhmen. The thesis also focuses to district policy provinces of that time and more precisely on the political representation of the provinces in Carlsbad. This work summarize the findings from the literature and archival materials related to Deutschböhmen provinces and especially of the city Carlsbad and create a more complete picture of the time decay of Austria - Hungary and the rise of nation states with regard to the northwestern region of Czechoslovakia. We also learn about the issue of the right to self-determination and its context in the fight for the integrity of Czechoslovakia. The aim of the thesis is to examine the events that led to the formation of the province. Furthermore, we also look into the effects of this province and its demise. Regarding district policy in Karlovy Vary this work focuses on the effects of the government in the region.
