Comparison of the Drug Scene between the Selected Samples of University Students in the Czech Republic and Slovenia

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá analýzou rozsahu užívání návykových látek ve vysokoškolské populaci, přesněji řečeno komparací drogové scény Univerzity v Lublani a Masarykovy univerzity Brno. Práce nejprve zkoumá drogovou scénu Univerzity v Lublani na základě výsledků kvantitavního výzkumu, který byl proveden formou dotazníkového šetření. Výsledky tohoto výzkumu jsou posléze srovnány s obdobnou studií autorů Kachlíka a Havelkové, jež byla provedena v roce 2006 mezi studenty Masarykovy univerzity Brno v rámci projektu „Deskripce drogové scény na MU a návrh preventivních opatření“. Následné závěry této komparace jsou učiněny na základě statistické analýzy. Tato práce je v českém prostředí prvním pokusem o srovnání rozsahu užívání návykových látek ve vysokoškolské populaci dvou různých států Evropské unie.

Abstract:

The study deals with description of the extent of drug use among university students. In particular, the study is focused on comparison of drug use among students of the University of Ljubljana and the Masaryk University Brno. Firstly, the study analyses the drug scene of the University of Ljubljana on the basis of data obtained from the empirical research. Then the results of this research are compared with a similar study called “Description of the Drug Scene at the Masaryk University Brno and Proposal for the Precautions” which was carried out in 2006 by the authors Kachlík and Havelková. The subsequent conclusions are made on the basis of statistic analysis. In the Czech Republic, this thesis is the first study which attempts to compare the extent of drug use among university students in two different countries of the European Union.
