The strategy of narration in Czech postmodern prose

Abstract:

Tato práce sleduje signifikantní vyprávěcí strategie v české postmodernistické próze. První část je věnována obecné charakteristice postmoderního myšlení a vědění a jeho vlivu na uměleckou oblast. V následujícím literárněteoretickém exkurzu je představena umělecká struktura vyprávění a jsou ujasněny užívané termíny. Hlavní část práce vychází z významové analýzy a interpretace vybraných děl české prozaické tvorby. Základním východiskem poetiky postmodernismu je nenormativnost a destrukce rigidních schémat. Práce ukazuje, jak tento princip zasahuje do všech rovin vyprávění, jazykové, tematické i kompoziční. Jako hlavní rysy této poetiky jsou shledány metatextualita, střídání vyprávěcích perspektiv, prolínání subjektů, hravost, ironie, intertextualita, kompozice typu proudu a tříště.

Abstract:

This diploma work is tracing the narration strategies in Czech postmodern prose. The first part is devoted to common characterization of postmodern thinking and knowledge and it´s influence to an art area. In the next literary-teoreticaly discursion is introduced the art structure of narrating and there are also clarified used terms. The main part of the semantic analysis and interpretation of picked publications of Czech prosaic production. The basic resource of poetics of postmodernism is nonstandard and destruction of rigid schemes. This work shows how the principle trenches into all levels of narration, the linguistic level, thematic level and compositional level. As the main attributes of this poetics are gathered the metatextuality, the changing of narrative perspectives, the inosculation of subjects, playfulness, irony, intertextuality, and the composition in the type of flow and fragment.
