The Troubles in Northern Ireland in Young-readers Novel
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou románů dvou severoirských autorů, Deirdre Madden a Bernarda MacLavertyho. Účelem této práce je prozkoumat vliv Konfliktu v Severním Irsku na hlavní postavy těchto románů, kterými jsou buď děti, dospívající nebo mladí dospělí, kteří se vypořádávají s vinou, smutkem nebo ztracenou identitou.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of the novels by two Northern Irish authors, Deirdre Madden and Bernard MacLaverty. The purpose of this work is to examine the influence of the Troubles in Northern Ireland on the main characters of these novels who are either children, adolescents or young adults coping with guilt, grief or lost identities.
