Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá tvorbou Evy Houdové-Mathias, která emigrovala z Československa v roce 1968 a následně se usadila v Belgii. V Bruselu vystudovala střih a skrip na Institut National des Arts de Spectacle. Od té doby se podílela na velkém množství nejen belgických filmů, především jako střihačka a skriptka. Kromě profese, kterou vystudovala, se taktéž věnuje autorsko–režijní tvorbě, zejména dokumentárním filmům. Pomocí rešeršních metod a některých postupů orální historie jsem se snažila získat co nejvíce informací a materiálů týkající se její filmové tvorby. V případě autorsko–režijních filmů jsem uvedla i produkční a distribuční kontext. Hlavním cílem práce je sestavení přehledného inventáře osobního fondu, který reprezentuje filmovou práci Evy Houdové od poloviny sedmdesátých let minulého století až po současnost. Inventář obsahuje všechny standardní části, počínaje životopisem sledované osoby a konče inventárním seznamem všech nalezených a identifikovaných materiálů. Inventární seznam je tematicky členěn dle oboru a povahy materiálů (především na autorsko–režijní a ostatní tvorbu). Součástí inventárního seznamu je mimo jiné také soupis korespondence odrážející autorské, produkční a distribuční podmínky filmové tvorby Evy Houdové. Práci doplňuje dokumentační příloha, která má tři části: tištěnou část, jež obsahuje vybrané klíčové materiály a kopie fotografií; CD přílohu, která obsahuje veškeré naskenované materiály uvedené v inventárním seznamu, stejně jako uvedené zahraniční článkové zdroje; DVD přílohu (2 nosiče), která obsahuje autorsko–režijní filmy, které bylo možné získat (Auto-stop, Na Západ ou la fierté nationale d’un cristal de Bohême, A l’aire libre, Portrait de groupe avec lunette, La Parenthèse et le retour en Bohême).

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the film work of Eva Houdová-Mathias, who emigrated from Czechoslovakia in 1968, and after some time settled in Belgium. In Brussels, at the Institut National Supérier des Arts de Spectacle, she graduated in the field of editing and scripting. Since the time, she has participated in a large number of films, not only Belgian ones, as a film editor and scriptor. In addition to her profesional qualification, she creates her own films, in particular documentaries. Using different research methods (background research, some methods of oral history etc.), I have made an attempt to gather as much information and materials as possible concerning her film work. As fas as her original work is concerned, I also mentioned a production and distribution background. However, the main aim of the thesis is to treat Eva Houdová’s personal archive and to create a well-arranged inventory of it, which represents her film work from the mid-1970s until today. The inventory has a standard structure including her curriculum vitae and an inventory list of all found and identified materials concerning her film work. The inventory list is arranged by the subject and character of documentation materials (as her original and other film work in particular); a part of the inventory list also contains a list of correspondence reflecting the production and distribution context of her original work. The thesis work is complemented by a documentary annex consisting of 3 parts: a printed one covering the most interesting materials and copies of photographs, a CD containing all scanned materials included in the inventory list as well as articles found in foreign periodicals and DVDs containing Eva Houdová’s available original film work (Auto-stop, Na Západ ou la fierté nationale d’un cristal de Bohême, A l’aire libre, Portrait de groupe avec lunette, La Parenthèse et le retour en Bohême).
