The names of clothing and textiles in Old Czech

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá názvy oděvů a textilií ve staré češtině. Text práce je rozdělen celkem do sedmi kapitol. Teoretická část je zaměřena na úlohu a vývoj oděvu v šatníku našich předků od dob nejstarších až po rané baroko. Dále se teoretická část zabývá textiliemi, ze kterých se šat nejčastěji zhotovoval. Praktická část obsahuje excerpci 50 názvů oděvů a 20 názvů textilií. Názvy oděvů a textilií jsou rozdělené do přehledné tabulky podle názvu, rodu, původního kmene a původu. V praktické části je k dispozici analýza 50 názvů oděvů a 20 názvů textilií. Jsou zde uvedeny všechny základní informace o gramatické povaze daného pojmenování. Analýza je zaměřena na doklady užití jednotlivých názvů, rukopisné zařazení a také na dataci jejich vzniku. Bakalářskou práci uzavírá etymologický výklad vybraných názvů oděvů a textilií čerpaný z několika etymologických slovníků.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis examines the names of clothing and textiles in Old Czech. The work is divided into the eight chapters. The theoretical part focuses on the role and evolution of clothing in the wardrobes of our ancestors from the earliest time to the early baroque. Furthermore, it deals with the textiles, that most of the clothes were made of. The practical part contains the excerption of fifty terms of clothing and twenty terms of textiles. The terms of clothing and textiles are divided into the chart by its name, gender, parental strain and origin. In the next part of the practical part the fifty terms of clothing and twenty terms of textiles are analysed. All of the basic information about the grammatical disposition of the given terms are described. The analysis also offers the evidence for using all of the individual names, handwritten classification and the dating of their origin. In the conclusion there is the ethymological explanation of selected terms of clothing and textiles, selected from several ethymological dictionaries.
