Competitiveness of the country in terms of cultural diferences

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo zjistit, zda kultura ovlivňuje příliv zahraničního kapitálu, skrze ovlivňování ekonomické výkonnosti země. Stěžejní teorií byla Hofstedeho teorie o kulturních rozdílech spolu s Hofstedeho kulturními dimenzemi a výčet ekonomických ukazatelů, podle kterých se investoři rozhodují. Data získaná ze sekundárních zdrojů byla podrobena analýze a statistické metodě korelace, na základě které, byli vyvozeny závěry, že i kulturní faktor hraje roli při snaze získat zahraniční investice.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to find out if culture influences the flow of foreign capital, by influencing the country's economic performance. The underlying theory was Hofstede's theory of cultural differences along with Hofstede's cultural dimensions, and the list of economic indicators on which investors decide. The data obtained from secondary sources was analyzed with the statistical method of correlation based on which conclusions were drawn that the cultural factor plays a role in seeking foreign investment.
