Special educational interventions for pupils with mental disabilities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o speciálně pedagogických intervencích v edukaci žáků s mentálním postižením. V teoretické části práce se zabývám pojetím žáků s mentálním postižením, příčinami vzniku postižení, jeho stupni a osobnostními specifiky žáků s těžším mentálním postižením. Dále se zaměřuji na specifika edukace v základní škole speciální, jejím legislativním vymezením, a také samotným vyučováním těchto žáků. V poslední kapitole teoretické části poukazuji na vliv terapeutických přístupů v edukaci těchto žáků. Zmiňuji zásady práce strukturovaného učení, využití alternativní a augmentativní komunikace. Praktická část obsahuje osm případových studií žáků s těžkým mentálním postižením, které poukazují na vliv speciálně pedagogických intervencí na efektivitu edukace žáků s těžším mentálním postižením.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with special pedagogical interventions in the education of pupils with mental disabilities. In the theoretical part of the work. I deal with the concept of students with mental disabilities, the causes of disabilities, its degree and personality specifics of students with severe mental disabilities. I also focus on the specifics of education in a special primary school, its legislative definition, and also the teaching of these students. In the last chapter of the theoretical part. I point out the influence of therapeutic approaches in the education of these pupils. I mention the principles of structured learning, the use of alternative and augmentative communication. The practical part contains eight case studies of pupils with severe mental disabilities, which point to the influence of special pedagogical interventions on the effectiveness of education of pupils with severe mental disabilities.
