Canis therapy from the perspective of non-medical medical staff.

Abstract:

Úvod: Tématem bakalářské práce je "Canisterapie pohledem zdravotnického nelékařského personálu". Canisterapie se v průběhu let stává více využívanou formou doplňkové terapie, kdy v mnoha ohledech pozitivně působí na zdraví lidí. Teoretická část je zaměřena na charakteristiku canisterapie a jejího využití v ošetřovatelské péči u klientů s různými typy onemocnění. Cíl práce: Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit názor zdravotnického nelékařského personálu na canisterapii. Dále bylo stanoveno několik dílčích cílů, mezi které patří zjištění, zda může mít canisterapie vliv na pacienty, zda se zdravotnický nelékařský personál účastnil školení ohledně canisterapie a jestli by měl zájem se takového školení zúčastnit, případně opakovaně, zjistit, kdo se nejčastěji účastní canisterapie a zda mají pacienti o canisterapii zájem. Metodika: Metodou průzkumného šetření byl nestandardizovaný dotazník vlastní konstrukce v tištěné podobě. Dotazník byl zpracován ve 2 formách, a to pro oddělení, kde se canisterapie provádí a pro oddělení, kde se canisterapie neprovádí. Dotazníky byly distribuovány pomocí tří nemocnic. Zkoumaným souborem byl zdravotnický nelékařský personál bez ohledu na věk, pohlaví a délku pracovní praxe. Průzkumného šetření se celkem zúčastnilo 128 zdravotnických nelékařských pracovníků. Výsledky: Analýza získaných dat probíhala formou popisné statistiky. Z výsledků vyplývá, že zdravotnický nelékařský personál má pozitivní názor na canisterapii. Pacienti mají zájem o canisterapii. Průzkumné šetření dále ukázalo, že nejdůležitějším kritériem, pro výběr pacienta ke canisterapii, je kladný vztah pacienta ke psům a diagnóza pacienta. Mnoho zdravotníků by bylo pro zavedení canisterapie jako součást standardní ošetřovatelské péče. Většina zdravotníků se nikdy nezúčastnila školení ohledně canisterapie, ale o školení by měli zájem, případně opakovaně. Závěr: Canisterapie v průběhu let je na neustálém vzestupu a čím dál více se dostává do povědomí široké veřejnosti. Většina zdravotníků má pozitivní vztah ke psům a na jejich oddělení by canisterapii uvítali.

Abstract:

Introduction: The topic of the bachelor's thesis is "Canistherapy from the point of view of medical non-medical personnel". Over the years, canistherapy has become a more widely used form of complementary therapy, as it has a positive effect on people's health in many ways. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of canistherapy and its use in nursing care for clients with various types of diseases. Aim of the thesis: The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out the opinion of medical non-medical personnel on canistrapia. Furthermore, several sub-objectives were set, which include finding out whether canistherapy can have an effect on patients, whether medical non-medical personnel have participated in training regarding canistherapy and whether they would be interested in participating in such training, possibly repeatedly, to find out who most often participates in canistherapy and whether patients are interested in canistherapy. Methology: The exploratory survey method was a non-standardized self-designed questionnaire in printed form. The questionnaire was prepared in 2 forms, namely for the department where canistherapy is performed and for the department where canistherapy is not performed. Questionnaires were distributed using three hospitals. The research group was medical non-medical personnel regardless of age, gender and length of work experience. A total of 128 healthcare non-medical workers participated in the survey. Result: The analysis of the obtained data took place in the form of descriptive statistics. The results show that non-medical medical personnel have a positive opinion of canistherapy. Patients are interested in canistherapy. The exploratory investigation further showed that the most important criteria for selecting a patient for canistherapy is the patient's positive relationship with dogs and the patient's diagnosis. Many health professionals would be in favor of introducing canistherapy as part of standard nursing care. Most health professionals have never participated in canistherapy training, but would be interested in the training, possibly repeatedly. Conclusion: Canistherapy has been on the rise over the years and is increasingly becoming known to the general public. Most health professionals have a positive relationship with dogs and would welcome canistherapy in their department.
