Self-regulation and risky sexual behavior

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zkoumat vztah mezi seberegulací a rizikovým sexuálním chováním u dospívajících. Teoretická část má za úkol shrnout poznatky a dosavadní výzkumy týkající se rizikového sexuálního chování a problematiky seberegulace především ve vztahu k období dospívání. Výzkumná část je zaměřena na zjištění míry seberegulace a četnosti výskytu rizikového sexuálního chování u dospívajících a na vzájemný vztah mezi těmito proměnnými. Ke sběru dat byl použit dotazník s uzavřenými otázkami, který byl administrován dospívajícím ve věku 15 až 20 let. Provedeným výzkumem byl zjištěn vztah mezi regulací chování v závislosti na pohlaví jedinců a také rozdílná míra celkové seberegulace a regulace emocí u respondentů, kteří již měli pohlavní styk a těmi, kteří ještě pohlavní styk neměli.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to examine the relationship between self-regulation and risky sexual behaviour among adolescents. The theoretical part is intended to summarize findings and previous research related to risky sexual behaviour and self-regulation problematics, especially in relation to adolescence. The research part focuses on the level of self-regulation and frequency of risky sexual behaviour among adolescents and on the correlation between these variables. Data were collected by using a questionnaire with closed questions, which was presented to adolescents aged from 15 to 20 years. In our findings was found relationship between the regulation of behaviour depending on the gender of individuals as well as different level of overall self-regulation and regulation of emotions among respondents who have already had sexual intercourse and respondents who have not had sexual intercourse.
