Abstract:

V globalizovaném světě všechno je spojeno mezi sebou, přístup k technologiím je nezbytný, a také studium druhého, třetího a dalších jazyků. Díky důležitostí a nedostatku času, lidé pochopili význam e- a m-learningu. Technologický pokrok a bezdrátová komunikace společně s adaptaci mobilních multimedialních zařízení a aplikaci vytvořili hodně přiležitostí k vyuce angličtiny jako cizího jazyka. Nejvíc použivané operační systémy jako Android, Apple iOS nebo Windows mobile silně ovlivňují vývoj nových aplikací vytvořených pro každodenní uživatele. Tato práce seznamuje s terminem mobile learning. Popisujeme jeho historický vývoj, první mobilní telefony a aplikace. Také výhody i nevýhody m-learningu jsou charakterizované. Popisujeme e-learning, jak se liší od e-learningu a jeho výhody i nevýhody. Kládeme důraz na populaci dospělých na úrovni A1-B1 (Úplný začátečník- Pokročilý). Dokument Společný evropský referenční rámec je popsan. Charakterizujeme každou úroveň. Vysvětlili jsme termín samostaný student, sebeřízení a samostaný studium z pohledu učitele. Na závěr,v praktické části práce je uveden seznam aplikaci. Každá z nich je popsana. Jejích výhody i nevýhody byly uvedeny a také to, jak ovlivňují proces studia.

Abstract:

In a globalized world, everything is interconnected, access to technology is vital and so it is the learning of a second, third or even more languages. Due to the significance and to the lack of time, nowadays people have understood the importance of e-and m-learning. Technological development and wireless communication along with the adaptation of mobile multimedia devices and applications have created huge opportunities for learning English as a foreign language. The most widely used operating systems such as Android, Apple’s iOS or Windows mobile, are strongly influencing the development of new tailor-made applications for the day to day users. This thesis introduces the term mobile learning. We describe its historical development, first mobile phones and applications. M-learning advantages and disadvantages are characterised. We also describe the term e-learning, how it differs from m-learning, its advantages and disadvantages. We focus on the adult population at A1-B1 level (Beginner-Intermediate). The term Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is explained. Each level is described. The definition of the autonomous learner is given. We explain what is self-direction and autonomous learning from teacher’s perspective. Finally, in the practical part of the work the list of applications is given. Each of them is described, how it affects the process of learning, its advantages and disadvantages.
