The figure of the witch in Czech fairy tales

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá postavami kouzelníků a čarodějnic v českých autorských pohádkách. Hlubší pozornost je věnována jejich vnitřní a vnější charakteristice. Cílem je poukázat na různorodost pojímání autorských pohádek, v nichž se postavy čarodějů a čarodějnic vyskytují. Tato práce také cílí na zdůraznění neodlučitelné souvztažnosti těchto postav lidového a autorského zpracování. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na teoretickou, analytickou a didaktickou část. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na společné rysy pohádek a na jejich možné podoby. Detailněji je rozebrána autorská pohádka a její historický vývoj. Následuje kapitola zabývající se typologií lidových postav a jejich odlišnostmi s autorskými postavami. Teoretickou část uzavírá kapitola věnující se samotné charakteristice čarodějů a čarodějnic lidového a autorského zpracování. V analytické části jsou rozebrány čtyři autorské pohádky s postavami kouzelníků, a to Karkulka v maskáčích (2001), Havrane z kamene (1990), Čaroděj z nafukovacího stromu (2008) a pohádkový soubor O jelenovi s kulometem a jiné trampské zkazky (1996). Poté je kapitola zaměřena na srovnání těchto knih. V závěru této práce se nachází didaktická část, která pracuje s pohádkou Mlsná ježibaba, jež nalezneme v knize O jelenovi s kulometem a jiné trampské zkazky. Cílem tohoto výukového materiálu je poukázat na rozdílnost zpracování kouzelníků lidových a autorských pohádek. Rovněž upozornit na jejich společné znaky.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the characters of wizards and witches in Czech authorial fairy tales. Deeper attention is paid to their internal and external characteristics. The aim is to highlight the diversity of understanding of authorial fairy tales in which the characters of wizards and witches appear. This work also aims to emphasize the inseparable correlation of these characters between folk and authorial adaptations. The thesis is divided into theoretical, analytical, and didactic parts. The theoretical part focuses on the common features of fairy tales and their possible forms. Authorial fairy tales and their historical development are analyzed in detail. This is followed by a chapter dealing with the typology of folk characters and their differences from authorial characters. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter devoted to the characteristics of wizards and witches in folk and authorial adaptations. In the analytical part, four authorial fairy tales with wizard characters are examined: Karkulka v maskáčích (2001), Havrane z kamene (1990), Čaroděj z nafukovacího stromu (2008), and the fairy tale collection O jelenovi s kulometem a jiné trampské zkazky (1996). Then, a chapter is focused on comparing these books. The conclusion of this work includes a didactic part that works with the fairy tale Mlsná ježibaba found in the book O jelenovi s kulometem a jiné trampské zkazky. The aim of this teaching material is to point out the differences in the portrayal of wizards in folk and authorial fairy tales and to highlight their common features.
