Economic aspects of returnable plastic packaging in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bečička, O. Ekonomické aspekty vratných plastových obalů v ČR. Bakalářská práce. Brno: Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2024. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zavedením zálohovaných plastových obalů v České republice se zaměřením na ekonomické aspekty tohoto systému. Práce je primárně zaměřena na PET lahve a je rozdělena na tři části. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na popis současného fungování odpadového hospodářství s důrazem na ekonomické a organizační fungování. Praktická část se věnuje analýze příjmů a nákladů subjektů zapojených do systému zálohování. V případové studii je popsán a vypočítán možný finanční dopad na odpadové hospodářství obce Kobylnice. V závěru byly výsledky diskutovány s obdobnými studiemi. Hlavním přínosem práce byl popis chystaného systému a analýza možných ekonomických dopadů

Bečička, O. Economic aspects of returnable plastic packaging in the Czech Repub-lic. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2024. This bachelor's thesis deals with the implementation of a deposit-return system for plastic containers in the Czech Republic, focusing on the economic as-pects of this system. The work primarily focuses on PET bottles and is divided into three parts. The theoretical part focuses on describing the current functioning of the waste management system with an emphasis on economic and organizational functioning. The practical part examines the revenues and costs of the entities involved in the deposit-return system. The case study describes and calculates the possible financial impact on the waste management system in the town of Kobylnice. In conclusion, the results were discussed with similar studies. The main contribution of the work was the description of the planned system and the analysis of potential economic impacts.
