Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zabývá texty současného amerického zpěváka a hudebníka Mayanarda Jamese Keenana. Zatímco jeho texty jsou často popisovány jako "temné", tak má práce ukazuje, že mají pozitivní význam. Zpěvákovy texty se zabývají evolucí, ať už na osobní nebo univerzální rovině. Práce se také zaměřuje na zpěvákovy texty související s náboženstvím.
Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the lyrics of contemporary American singer and musician Maynard James Keenan. The thesis shows that his lyrics, while often depicted as dark, have a positive message, which deal with developmnet and change on personal as well as universal level. The thesis also depicts the singer's religious lyrics.
