Differential evolution algorithm in pseudo-parallel mode

Abstract:

V této práci jsou popsány a v prostředí MATLAB implementovány tři algoritmy diferenciální evoluce v pseudo-paralelním režimu. Paralelní varianty algoritmu jsou založeny na migračním modelu a liší se pouze v nastavení politiky migrace. Nově sestrojené algoritmy spolu s původním neparalelním algoritmem jsou testovány na testovacích úlohách a následně je účinnost těchto čtyř algoritmů statisticky zhodnocena. Po porovnání bylo zjištěno, že za daných okolností jsou paralelní varianty algoritmu lepší než neparalelní algoritmus. Z výsledků současně vyplývá, že paralelní varianty algoritmu dosahují přibližně stejných výsledků.

Abstract:

Three algorithms of differential evolution in pseudo-parallel mode are subscribed and implemented in a MATLAB environment in this thesis. Parallel versions of the algorithm are based on a migration model and they differ only in the migration policy. New built algorithms along with the original nonparallel algorithm are tested on test tasks. Afterwards the efficiency of these four algorithms is statistically evaluated. After comparison was found out that under set circumstances the parallel algorithm versions are better than the nonparallel algorithm. From the results is obvious that the parallel versions are reaching approximately equal effects.
