The utilisation of Acral Coactivation Theraphy for runners

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím Akrální koaktivační terapie u běžců. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V první kapitole teoretické části je popsána podstata Akrální koaktivační terapie. V druhé kapitole je podrobně rozepsána kineziologie běhu. Třetí kapitola se zabývá správnou technikou běhu a poslední, čtvrtá kapitola teoretické části se věnuje nejčastějším zraněním běžců. V praktické části je charakterizován sledovaný soubor, popsána metodika práce a demonstrována ukázka cvičební jednotky. Na konci této práce jsou zobrazeny výsledky měření dvaceti probandů před a po šesti týdenní terapii, diskuze nad stanovenými hypotézami a závěr práce. Dvě ze čtyř hypotéz byly potvrzeny, a to konkrétně snížení bolesti na VAS škále ale-spoň o jeden stupeň v rámci pěti kilometrového běhu a zrychlení běhu či chůze na pět kilome-trů. U hypotézy zabývající se napřímením páteře a hypotézy zlepšení postavení Achillovy šlachy došlo k vyvrácení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of Acral Coactivation Therapy in runners. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The first chapter of the theoretical part describes the essence of Acral Coactivation Therapy. In the second chapter is discussed kinesiology of running in detail. The third chap-ter deals with proper running technique and the last chapter of the theoretical part describes most common injuries of runners. In the practical part, the examined sample is characterized, the methodology of the work is described and a demonstration of the exercise unit is shown. At the end of this work, results of measurements of twenty probands before and after the six-week treatment are de-scribed, the discussion of the hypotheses established and the conclusion of the work are shown. Two of the four hypotheses were confirmed, namely a reduction in pain on the VAS scale at least for one degree during a five kilometers run and an increase in running or walk-ing speed within five kilometer track. The hypothesis dealing with spinal strain and the hy-pothesis of improved Achilles tendon position were refuted.
