Diplomová práce o osvobození Filipínského souostroví od japonské nadvlády během druhé světové války. V práci jsou popsány události předcházející invazi na tyto ostrovy, včetně plánů Američanů a Japonců. Poté je popsána největší námořní bitva v dějinách, Bitva v Leytském zálivu. Déle jsou popsána tažení na ostrovech Leyte, Mindano a Luzon, včetně bitvy o hlavní město Manilu. Závěr práce přibližuje osvobození …more
Abstract:
Thema of this thesis is liberation of the Philippine archipelago from Japanese rule during World War II. Thesis describes previous events before the invasions at these islands, including plans of Americans and Japanese. Then the largest naval battle in history, Battle of Leyte Gulf , is described.
