Ernesto Cardenal and his social commitment

Abstract:

In the work we examined the work of Ernesto Cardenal, writer, who comes from Nicaragua. In his work he devoted himself to people living in Latin American countries and their living conditions. The work is divided into two parts. In the first theoretical part we studied the life and work of the writer. We also examined reasons that led him to write his books. In the practical part we analyzed his work according to various criteria. We dealt with the relation of his work to revolution, and dictatorships in Latin American countries, imperialism and the struggle for social justice, Church, people whom he considered deplorable from many reasons; and the relation to everyday life of people living in these countries. In particular chapters we have stated works devoted to these topics. For the purposes of our work we made use of books that were written by Ernesto Cardenal, the books that other authors dedicated to him, and also articles devoted to this author that are published on the Internet.

Abstract:

V naší práci jsme se zabývali dílem Ernesta Cardenala, spisovatele, který pochází z Nikaraguy. Ve svém díle se věnoval lidem žijícím v latinskoamerických zemích a jejich životním podmínkám. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. V první teoretické části jsme studovali život a dílo spisovatele. Také jsme zkoumali důvody, které jej vedly k psaní jeho knih. V praktické části jsme analyzovali jeho dílo podle různých hledisek. Věnovali jsme se vztahu jeho děl k revoluci a diktaturám latinskoamerických zemí, imperialismu a boji za sociální spravedlnost, církvi, lidem, které považoval z nejrůznějších důvodů za ubohé, a běžnému životu obyvatel těchto zemí. V jednotlivých kapitolách jsme uváděli díla věnovaná těmto tématům. Pro účely naší práce jsme využívali knihy, které napsal Ernesto Cardenal, knihy, které věnovali jeho dílu jiní autoři, a také články věnované tomuto autorovi uveřejněné na internetových stránkách.
