Metaanalýza je dnes používána především v oblasti medicíny a sociálních věd. V onkologickém výzkumu jsou pomocí metaanalýzy vyhodnocovány vlivy léčebných procesů nebo vlivy možných rizikových faktorů způsobujících nádorová onemocnění. Metaanalysis is now used in medicine and social sciences. In an oncological survey there are finding out factors of healtly processes or factors of possible ways, which cause tumor diseases. In the metaanalysis, there are used model methods of fixed or random effects for the combination of the various studies results.
