Toponymy of the Village of Chlebovice

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá živou toponymii v obci Chlebovice se zaměřením na sociální rozdíly v užívání názvů. Jejím hlavním cíle je zjistit, zda se u tamních obyvatel užívání toponym s časem proměnilo či nikoliv. Teoretická část této práce se zaměřuje na onomastiku, toponomastiku a její části a také na sociální toponomastiku. V této části je také zběžně představena obec Chlebovice. Pro praktickou část byl proveden předvýzkum a výzkum za pomocí řízených rozhovorů. Respondenty výzkumu byli členové dvou rodin v různých věkových kategoriích. V praktické části je zhodnocení výzkumu a možnost nahlédnout na různé varianty tamních toponym.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis explores the live toponmy of the village of Chlebovice, especially aiming at the usage among different social groups. Its main goal was to discover whether local inhabitants differ in the usage of toponyms or not. The theoretical part of this thesis aims at onomastics, toponomastics and its parts and also to the social toponomastics. In this part, we can also find basic information about the village of Chlebovice itself. As for the practical part, both pre-research and research had been based on controlled interviews. Respondents had been members of two families of different age categories. In the practical part, there is also an assessment of the research and an option to examine various options of local toponyms.
