Transformation of the perception of the authority and social status of the first-grade elementary school teacher through the eyes of the teachers.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá změny ve společenském postavení učitele a změnách v jeho autoritě, a to očima vyučujících 1.stupně ZŠ s dlouholetou praxí. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se nejdříve zaměříme na historii. Jako první na historii ČSR a ČR od roku 1980 a poté na historii samotné profese učitele a jeho osobnosti. Dále se seznámíme s profesí učitele, jeho osobností a prestiží, uvedeme si pojem autorita a krize autority, a nakonec si přiblí-žíme 1.stupeň základní školy. V praktické části využíváme kvalitativního výzkumu, který proběhl formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se sedmi respondenty a následnou analý-zou pomocí otevřeného kódování. Dále jsme pro rozšíření našeho výzkumu využili dotazníkové šetření pro rodiče, abychom zjistili i jejich pohled na dané téma.

Abstract:

The thesis examines the changes in the social status of teachers and changes in their authority through the eyes of teachers with many years of teaching experience. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, we first focus on the history. Firstly, the history of the Czechoslovakia and the Czech Repub-lic since 1980 and then the history of the teaching profession itself and its personality. Next, we will get acquainted with the profession of a teacher, his/her personality and prestige, we will introduce the concept of authority and the crisis of authority, and finally we will take a closer look at the first stage of primary school. In the practical part, we use quantitative research, which took the form of semi-structured interviews with seven re-spondents, followed by open coding analysis. In addition, to extend our research, we used a questionnaire survey for parents to get their perspective on the topic as well.
